SQL 2005 DBA (Database Administrator) Post Date: 22 May 09Responsibilities:

-- Must have worked on MS SQL 2005 as Database Administrator

-- Prior experience in Production database support in a large environment of multiple databases.

-- Ability to fix performance issues and monitor database jobs/database replication, fix database corruption and ability to recover production databases in all scenarios.

-- Apply DB patches, including security patches and database housekeeping.

-- Provide technical resolution of all database issues and incident reporting for any database outage

-- Assist in database purging, database re-indexing and tuning if required.

-- Setup multiple Database environment (Production, Testing, Development)

-- Willing to work outside office hours and on weekends if need be.

-- Willing to be on-call 24 X 7 and able to handle stressful and demanding situations

-- Willing to travel overseas if need be

Requirements:

-- Male

-- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree or Professional Degree in Information Technology/Computer Science

-- Candidates must be able to work efficiently, meet tight deadlines and pay attention to detail

-- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills

-- Good communication, interpersonal skills and team lead/player
