Business Objects Reports Developers
POSITION DESCRIPTION

The position requires a person with extensive experience in developing reports and creating universes using Business Objects XI, Web Intelligence.

They will be responsible for requirements, design, development, testing and implementation of Business Objects reports. They will have to interface with multiple business and technology teams in supporting existing and implementing new projects.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform senior level analysis, design, and implementation using Business Objects XI, Web Intelligence.

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Lead the implementation of reports

* Work with customers to understand their business requirements

* Think outside the box to provide solutions that stretch capabilities and provide users with a rich reporting interface

* Overall understanding of the application and how it addresses customer needs

* Reporting/communication with Project Manager

* Mentor junior developers

* Create and implement development standards and methodology

* Potential On-Call duties


QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
A degree holder in Computer Science, Information System.

Experience:

* Minimum 3 years experience in Business Objects Web Intelligence development.

* Experience in initiating and implementing Business Objects Web Intelligence as a platform

* Demonstrated ability to work with business users and project teams in gathering requirements and translating them into solutions using Web Intelligence. (Design of data universes, data dimensions, data hierarchies)

* High Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL

* Experience with Oracle 10G

* Proficient in deployment and configuration of Web Intelligence on a UNIX platform

* Experience in performance tuning

* Minimum three years experience with Data Warehousing – demonstrated understanding of data warehouse concepts and purposes in a corporate environment.

* Excellent oral, written and overall communication skills.

* The ability to handle large unstructured workloads and deliver with minimal supervision in a team environment.
