Our client is World Class Engineering and Management. One of Asia Pacific’s largest and most experienced multi-disciplinary consulting practices. Providing planning, surveying, engineering, environmental, scientific, business advisory and project management services to transportation, buildings, urban development, water, environment, energy, industrial and telecommunications.

Electrical Engineers / Drafters (Junior, Experienced, Senior)

Junior: Minimum of 2 years, post graduation
Experienced: Minimum of 5 years, post graduation
Senior: Minimum of 7 to 10 years, post graduation

General Skills:

* Detailed design experience (All Engineers)
* Good written and spoken English Skills (All Engineers)
* Report and specification writing (All Engineers)
* Design and project cost management (Experienced and Senior Engineers)
* Marketing / Business development (Desirable for Senior Engineers)

Minimum Qualifications for Engineers:

* Degree qualified in Engineering (S1)

Minimum Qualifications for Drafters:

* Certificate / Diploma from Polytechnic / College
* Experience in use of AutoCAD is essential
* Experience in use of AutoCAD 3D is desirable

Experience Required:

* Design Experience Essential
* Site Experience and Commissioning Desirable

Background in:

* Electrical Power Systems (Essential)
* Instrumentation (Essential)
* Controls Systems (Optional, but knowledge of controls systems / programming is desirable)

Infrastructure / Project Experience:

* Materials handling plants (coal, iron ore, cement, nickel, copper, gold) - Essential
* Power stations - Desirable
* Building Electrical systems – Optional

Design Experience:

* High Voltage, Medium Voltage, Low Voltage (HV / MV / LV) design
* Transformer design / specification
* Switchgear specification
* Motor Control Centre (MCC) design
* Fault protection relay design and protection settings
* Power generation design
* Power reticulation design
* Lighting Design (including calculation of lighting LUX levels)
* Earthing Design
* Lightning Protection Design
* Hazardous Area design
* Single Line Diagram Preparation
* Schematic Diagram Preparation
* Cable Schedule Preparation
* I/O list preparation
* Instrumentation diagrams (P&ID) preparation
* Control system design and fault finding (Control System engineers)

Software:

* ETABS, or equivalent
* Power Pac, or equivalent
* Microsoft packages

Salaries are negotiable and are extremely attractive. Work location is Jakarta, and there may be opportunity to travel within Asia and Australia if desired by the candidate and there are projects that match their profile.
